Week 6:
5. My wardrobe turnover

A bit of a difficult question since:
1. I ruminate and think a lot before I buy and
2. I haven’t had my wardrobe for a long long time.

Though I guess a turn over rate of a certain degree does still exist: I’ve sold practically every taobao piece I’ve ever bought. The only taobao pieces I’ve kept are my VCastle blouses and cardigan but the rest? Either sold without being used or with one wear. I don’t know what it is but I guess it’s because once you have brand you can’t help but look at a lot of these pieces as inferior- for lack of better terms, especially when you’re an old schooler and have pieces that still hold up and are of even nicer quality from the stuff brands release now.

Other than that, in terms of main pieces: I’ve sold is my bxb millefeuille because I thought it’d be better appreciated by someone else. My baby tartan heart pocket skirt because I just couldn’t coord it and I felt nothing while wearing it. As well as recently my wirehead shirring camisole because I’ve had it for 2 years and only coorded it successfully once with a skirt that wasn’t even mine. There’s an event coming up where they will be selling and a couple of my friends are going so I told them “you will get me a red tartan shirring cami” and here’s to hoping, hopefully a solid color tartan will be easier to coord, I’m excited~ This and a good portion of my shoes tbh because they were too sweet or just not what I was wanting… Looking over these rates it looks like I sell about 1-5 things a year, usually something I’ve bought in the last two years that I haven’t worn to it’s full potential so that’s interesting.
